Prof Ben Dixon is a Head and Neck Surgeon at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne and the inaugural Garnett Passe Rodney Williams Professor of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Melbourne. In 2009, Prof Dixon completed his training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. In 2010, he began a two year Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Toronto General Hospital in Canada. This fellowship, accredited by the American Head and Neck Society, provided extensive training in cancer ablation, thyroid surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery and head and neck reconstruction.He has a PhD (Uni of Melbourne 2017) in surgeon-computer interface design. Prof Dixon is the Director of the ENT, Head & Neck department at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
