I love ecommerce and online retailing. Having helped hundreds of small, medium and large online retailers to improve their business, I've come to a close understanding that retailing is a tough industry. You're busiest when you'd rather be spending time with your family or friends. You worry about where your next sale will come from. Negotiating for product, shipping and support is timely and draining. For these reasons I've dedicated my career to helping online retailers succeed. For several years I worked in the software industry developing software to help online retailers. Now I've joined Run The Market, an organization dedicated to helping retailers take their business to the next level of profitability. Run The Market is a completely free resource. I spend all day talking to retailers, evaluating new ecommerce tools that can make them more efficient, and training retailers on how to use these tools.
As the user experience designer for Adobe's CQ eCommerce integration plugin, it was my main priority to make sure online retailers had a tool they could easily use, and that would allow them to personalize shopping experiences so that they could gain a competitive advantage over other retailers. I worked closely with the agile merchandising and marketing team as we mocked up new product pages, tested layouts, and ran CRO testing.
