With a solid foundation in custom cabinetry and a growing expertise in electrical systems, I am building a career as an electrical engineering technician that combines practical experience with formal training. My interest in electrical work began in high school, where a construction class sparked my passion and led me to pursue the Electrical Engineering Technician program at St. Lawrence College. Courses such as installation methods, electrical fundamentals, and code and drawing have deepened my knowledge of electrical systems and reinforced my commitment to the field.My background as a cabinet maker has given me extensive hands-on experience and practical skills. Creating and installing custom kitchens, bathrooms, and bars has taught me to problem-solve and work with precision. This role also introduced me to wiring lighting fixtures, blending my carpentry skills with basic electrical work. This unique combination of abilities allows me to approach electrical projects with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to craftsmanship, which I find especially suited to residential electrical applications.After graduation, I aim to leverage my skills and experience by pursuing an electrical apprenticeship, with a focus on residential work.
