Wpays gift card platform powers all Woolworths 1st party gift card programs and is reponsible for over one $Billion of gift card sales for Woolworths group annually.I line manage Developers and QA engineers across 3 gifting product squads and partner closely with the product delivery, architecture and leadership team on new strategic initiatives. I manage gifting technology system finances both inhouse and external. I also manage security, audits, vendors as well as operations and support strategy for those systems.I lead the technology team that manages the current retail B2B and B2C gift cards website www.giftcards.woolworths.com.au ($400+ million sales per year) as well as the team currently building a new gifting B2C website which will be part of the new everyday.com.au strategic loyalty platform for Woolworths.

My team was responsible for creating ENDEAVOUR MARKETPLACE (ENDEAVOURMARKETPLACE.COM.AU) - a custom made dropship platform for Danmurphys.com.au, MESSENGER - a custom built messaging platform providing Endeavour Drinks customers last mile communications on their orders and self serve capabilities and MIDAS: a logistics platform used in the ED depot network facilitating stock replenishment in the BWS store network and a new Dan Murphys depot fulfillment model. Also managed a large 18 month ERP replacement program for the Endeavour Delivery business comprising a custom built delivery/consignment management platform (EDEN EDEN.ENDEAVOURDELIVERY.COM.AU) integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 plus multiple other technology initiatives for Endeavour Delivery ENDEAVOURDELIVERY.COM.AU such as our routing system replatform.

At GraysOnline my main role was gathering and developing business and functional requirements for both our online websites and internal software applications and being one of the main points of contact/translation between the business and technical sides of the business. I worked closely with our development teams and business representatives particularly our marketing department to ensure solutions developed were cost-effective, technically feasible and met user requirements. I worked with our developers regarding the underlying detail supporting required functionality and had a good understanding of IT development discipline processes and methodologies such as Agile development. I learnt how to do simple SQL queries and had an understanding of database structures.I worked in a wide variety of online areas at GraysOnline such as the Grays CMS and Auction engine, Google Adwords/Adsense, Analytics packages (Google, Site Intelligence), SEO, SEM, Remarketing, the Grays product recommendations and review systems, Grays voucher and gift card systems, third party product and data feeds, email marketing, UI optimisation and responsive design. Major specific areas where I had primary responsibility included being the technology manager in the creation of the Grays mobile website, managing the introduction of product schema /custom properties to GraysOnline and managing the introduction of Google Tag Manager to GraysOnline. I was often also involved in bug/error triage and documentation, feature and regression testing as well as the day to day management of the grays development pipeline.

At Office Squared I controlled the design, branding and production of all of Office Squared’s websites, advertising (print and digital), promotions and digital media. I worked closely with our software development team to ensure our backend billing system and online service distribution platform both worked well and designed user interfaces for Office Squared’s software such as our virtual receptionist product. I have also worked in the product development, sales and marketing side of the business, wrote most of the businesses advertising copy and worked on product pricing, product definition and product delivery strategies. I also worked as the software development teams liaison both with management and 3 project sites in Sydney, Malaysia and China.
