Working with a team of local entrepreneurs and community activists to propose a sustainable development option for the historic Wellington Mill site in Somerset. Built by Thomas Fox in 1797 at the same time as the Uffculme Mill - Coldharbour. It was the first fully vertical woollen and worsted mill in the world. At it's height the local west country Fox mils employed 5,000 workers, producing the famous Fox Flannels and FIP Puttees among other woollen and worsted textiles.

Thomas Fox built this mill at Uffculme in 1797 at the same time as Tonedale Mills in Wellington. Coldharbour is open to the general public and groups to see a fully working textile mill - Historic England regard it as one of the finest working mill complex's in the country. As a fifth generation Fox to join the family firm, I was selling and marketing the renown Fox Flannels, all over the world. Clients included Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Hackett, Brooks Brothers, Boden, Jean Muir, Richard James and many many others. Since 1995 I have lived at Tone Dale House, where Thomas Fox started the firm in 1772. The house is available for hire, as a venue, of The Big House Co. Much of the firm and family history is on permanent display.
