Mr. Gilbert currently manages Verizon fleet garages in southeastern Massachusetts and all of Rhode Island. This fleet consists of heavy aerial bucket trucks, vans, small bucket trucks and other associated vehicles. Mr. Gilbert handles all union issues with the mechanics he has working with him. He manages the garages from parts management and budgeting to organizing how repairs are handled. Previously Mr. Gilbert managed the Boston Airport service shop for TextronGSE D.B.A Tug Technologies. They are a full service mechanic shop featuring an on airfield hangar for maintaining airport and airplane servicing ground equipment. He manages 25 staff including administrators, parts department staff and technicians. This is a 24/7/365 operation. In his prior employment He was employed by Boston Sand and Gravel where he managed their fleet of equipment which ranges from 100 rail cars to 64 trucks and other various loaders, excavators, and plant equipment. He also controlled and make all purchasing decisions for the fleet and the garage facility. Prior to Boston Sand and Gravel, Mr. Gilbert was employed by Peterbilt of Rhode Island where He sold new and used trucks as well as performed leasing functions and parts sales. While at Peterbilt, He grew their market share in the Massachusetts territory controlled by the dealer group through promoting excellent customer service and reliability. His sales philosophy involved being available and willing to do whatever it took to complete the sales transaction and continue growth by establishing great relationships with his customers. Throughout his time at Peterbilt of Rhode Island, He also attained my CDL class B with air brakes and tanker endorsements.
