Assembly EngineerWithin this role, I take technical drawings of multiple parts and liaise with the design engineers to then build pharmaceutical isolators. Using my technical skills, I assembly the isolators in the correct manner ensuring the isolators operate at the correct parameters. I also attend site installations with the installation engineer, but I have attended sites as the lead. The role also includes servicing visits of isolators and the fan units. The assembly tasks undertaken have been for both containment and aseptic isolators. The testing of the isolators and their filters, including DOP testing, is also within my responsibilities.

Working in a production operator environment I would be assigned my own individual work in which I would be given heavy responsibility in producing a very high standard duct tin which is used for wires and airflow on flying vehicles such as aeroplanes or helicopters. I would be tasked with ensuring the models are wrapped in glass cloth and glued before they would go and be tested for any leaks. We would carry out this testing and re-do the wrapping if leaks were found so we could maintain the highest of quality duct tins. We would be working on several orders at once, which we had to complete to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. I had to work quickly and efficiently to ensure orders were met and customers were happy with the service. The quality of the tin we produced determined the reputation of the company so being able to work under pressure was key.

Working with the public on a daily basis, I patrolled several car parks and was on point to answer and help with any queries relating to the parking within these areas. I undertook training so that I was able to fix several problems with one of the core systems which heavily affected how smooth customers could get in and out of the carpark. I would have to be flexible with when I would be able to work as the support model was 24/7. We had to be consistently making sure there were no problems in regards to the public, as we would need to raise the alarm into security or other areas dependant on what the problem was. I maintained the cleanliness of the car park regularly ensuring high standards were met in terms of hygiene and care.
