New role - a combination of preparing wood for printing, printing on wood and designing postcards.

This role consists of stock replenishment and checkout work.

This role covered all aspects of running a music venue in Lowestoft. This included buying stock, booking acts and events, and running the bar. The job required me to provide good customer service to my people attending the events as well as research acts and negotiate fees.

Supported Lettings Officer, East Suffolk Council, August 2019 – July 2022The role of an SLO is to deliver intensive, specialist support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This includes working with the clients face-to-face within our Rapid Rehousing Hub. The job requires me to manage a caseload of clients, understanding their various, often complex, needs. I assist with every aspect of securing the clients suitable accommodation, including making Housing Related Support and other referrals, searching the private sector, getting the client set up on ‘Gateway to Homechoice’, applying for funding, ensuring the customers benefits are correctly set up, and making sure we have an idea of what is affordable for the client. The role requires me to build a rapport with clients, maintain accurate records of communications with the clients, visit clients in their homes, getting client’s utility bills set up, and making referrals to outside organisations such as Turning Point. This role includes a lot of independent working but I am also an active team member, often taking on additional tasks such as assisting the Rough Sleeper Coordinator when they require someone to visit a rough sleeper, or assisting with the bi-monthly rough sleeper count. The role includes administrative tasks such as getting documents signed, scanned and filed, amending and sending post, being available to minute meetings if the administrator is away, and filling in spreadsheets.

As part of a design team, I work as the primary Graphic Designer. I work on projects from conception to completion, often in collaboration with the illustrator or web developer. Projects have included designing catalogues, leaflets, pull-up banners and web banners, with a view to getting schools and libraries to buy books from the company. As well as creating graphics and developing ideas with team members, I am also involved in creating and amending copy, as well as proof reading.Two Notable tasks:Designing a plethora of catalogues, including the 96 page Children’s Educational Books and Resources Topic Selection catalogue, which has been highly praised by management.Designing the livery and all associated advertising for the company’s £250,000 mobile book showroom, which has been booked by numerous schools since it was unveiled and has exceeded expectations.

As the only designer in the organisation I had an intense workflow and multiple deadlines to meet on a daily basis. The role consisted of devising and creating a variety of visuals, to brief, for the council. The job required me to create a wide variety of visuals including logos for council initiatives, monthly magazine style newsletters, stickers, leaflets, banners, maps, brochures, annual reports, benefits forms, and an assortment of physical and digital visuals to promote local events. I was involved in several social media campaigns.In addition, I was the brand guardian for all the identities used within the organisation, creating brand guidelines for new and existing logos and reporting misuse. I was tasked with generating revenue for the organisation, so also had to design have meetings with, and design for, external clients.Two Notable tasks:Creating monthly newsletters - reaching 44,000 homes. These newsletters successfully increased tenant engagement as well as disseminating important information to residents who did not engage with letters that were sent out to them by the council and/or social media. Designing all the materials for the yearly Spirit of Enterprise Awards which was deemed a success by the organisers each time I worked with them.
