I recently completed a software engineering bootcamp and exploring a career in a new industry. I believe that my skills in collaboration, project management, and a general ability to sit at the computer for a long time to solve problems will translate over to my new field. My love for 3D computer graphics (and a Flash website building class in college) led me to learn Three.js. I really wanted to learn how to build interactive 3D models. Once I started learning Three.js, I realized it would be useless without knowing Javascript. I self studied for months, then enrolled in the Flatiron School bootcamp to learn the basics of software engineering. I find it very exiting to challenge myself to build new projects, and get great satisfaction from breaking large problems down into small ones and solving them step by step.
