I am passionate about best practice and the delivery of quality services to people who need them most. I have a range of experiences which compliments many differing roles and I am always open to have a discussion about possible roles for the future. I have a range of professional training that covers health, management and social work specific topics. I aspire to continue to study with interest in contemporary mental health and management, recently being accepted and enrolled in a Masters of Business Administration through LaTrobe University starting this year. I recognise both my strengths and my limitations and respect others knowledge and strengths that compliment any team. I have always worked from the perspective of surrounding myself with knowledgeable people and creating a space where knowledge can be shared, and if possible generated. I embrace change and understand this as part of the complex and dynamic environment of today’s human-based services in particular our recent experience with a world-wide pandemic. Despite this I only advocate for change that is progressive and in the interest of the service and the community. I believe I am a responsive and motivated individual with high level communication skills who can engage and liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, both internal and external, with skills to move from government to clinical to consumer discussions with ease, and the experience to do so professionally and with respect. I work from a holistic and person-centred approach, noting we all share a common humanity and that when people are supported in a non-judgemental and inclusive manner we can all fulfil our potential and live life abundantly.
