Ben Moore is a British contemporary artist and curator. In 2006 he founded Art Below, a public art organisation that has become widely recognized for its innovative approach to promoting art and supporting emerging artists by showcasing their work on billboard space in the London Underground 'Turning Ad Space into Art Space' Ben is also the founder and curator of Art Wars which he first established by curating 'one of the most epic, sell out, star studded group shows of our time' at London's Saatchi Gallery during Frieze Week in 2013. 20 artists including Damien Hirst, Mr Brainwash, Alison Jackson, D*Face and Antony Micallef were all given a stormtrooper helmet with the brief to turn 'The Dark into the Art'. It was a sell out success and attracted worldwide media attention. Since then Art Wars has gone international and sold out exhibitions in Miami, LA, Las Vegas, Dubai and Gothenburg.The project has made millions in sales and made significant donations to its official charity partner Missing People. 2 times marathon runner for the charity, Ben has worked closely with Missing People since his brother Tom disappeared in 2003. To mark their 25th Anniversary he was commissioned to curate 'UnMissable' which featured portraits of missing people by leading artists and was unveiled at The Other Art Fair hosted by Saatchi Art in March 2019. Other charitable exhibitions curated by Moore include 'Me, My Brain and I' for Parkinson's UK in 2021 which included artists Tracy Emin, David Bailey, and Gavin Turk and 'One Small Step' in 2019 which celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landings. The exhibition toured London, LA and Dallas and raised over £100K for MAG whose mission is to clear landmines, where one small step can be the difference between life and death.In 2020, Ben was commissioned by Lamington Hotel Group to curate a 2 month long exhibition at historic Fulham Town Hall in West London. He curated each area of the grade 2 listed 52,000 sq ft building working closely with some of London's most exciting artists to bring the public 'Art in the Age of Now'. The exhibition was free for the public to attend and received glowing reviews. Forbes listed it in their top 5 "must see" exhibitions and was described by Ed Vaizey (Minister of Arts & Culture) as 'Unlike anything else in London'. Thousands of people came through the doors each day, and it was celebrated as London's first free public art exhibition since the COVID-19 pandemic.Ben is based in West London and is the father of three children.
