• Working on a boy’s camp for 280 children aged 8 to 14.• Worked in the CampCraft department which focused on overcoming challenges, striving to be the best person you can be whilst working towards outdoor living awards.• Specific role as a Hiking and Designated Trip Leader, taking 8 children on hiking trips of up to 5 days. Organising everything from the hiking route, food and travel.• Providing a safe and comfortable environment for children to not only excel in activities but also teach them many very useful life lesson.This was my second of two seasons

• I was responsible for ensuring all project documents were stored correctly within databases using Lotus Notes. • Liaise between all companies involved in the projects to arrange meetings and collate information for all parties.• Attend weekly meetings with the Project managers and project planners to ensure that all targets are being met for documentation and works.• Submit millions of pounds’ worth of invoice value, for payment of documentation and follow the progress until payment had been received.• Produce high quality data packs and data books using Adobe PDF Editor, which contain all details and data for the projects, from preliminary drawings through to safety regulations for materials and processes.• Arrange meetings, catering and some simple minute taking.

• Receiving emergency and non-emergency calls daily. • Dispatching emergency and non-emergency jobs, using in house system, to operational staff, ensuring standards of service set by law and key performance indicators were successfully achieved. • Communicating effectively with both colleagues on dispatch and managers out on the district to ensure that all resources are used effectively and that any problems are addressed• Working in a pressurised environment where safety and standards were paramount, having to stay focused always. • Prioritising that day’s workload accurately so that all worked was finished in time whilst still making sure unplanned escapes dealt with as a top priority.• Completing spreadsheets and reports, not only to record standards of service but to also flag up when there were potential risks.• With my knowledge of Excel, I created reports and spreadsheets such as those mentioned above• Apart from being trained on Dispatching, I was also cross trained on engineering, a team which dealt with teams of engineers working on single jobs, although the jobs carried out by engineering were not such high priority, the scale of the work was larger and I had look after much larger areas with fewer staff so prioritising workload and manpower was paramount• During my time spent at National Grid I completed a Train the Trainer course which allowed me to train new staff in the systems that we used. From this course, I relocated to Northampton for a period of 3 months to assist in the training of new staff at a new property. This not only included training the staff, but assisting in writing the training packages needed.
