As a second year Physics with Astrophysics student at Lancaster University, I am passionate about space and cosmology however i also find great interest in areas of nuclear physics and the aerospace sector. I am inspired to contribute to these areas and continue the exciting innovation carried out across the globe.I am actively searching for an opportunity to use the skills i have developed in a summer internship where i can begin solving real problems and making progress in cutting-edge industries.I started developing my interest in astrophysics through my school's astronomy club, of which I was a founding member of in sixth form. I greatly enjoyed learning about the functionality of telescopes and optical lenses and employing them to view astronomical objects. Especially on our field trips to the dark skies area around Kielder Observatory, I enjoyed taking responsibility with helping engage younger members and assisting them with setting up equipment and communicating with staff members.To complement my academic skills, I have also developed interpersonal aptitude, having worked for four consecutive years in an efficient team at a plant nursery which allowed me to enhance my team-working ability and gave me an opportunity to take responsibility over my own projects.I am enthusiastic about connecting with professionals in the areas of physics and astrophysics to develop my career.Contact: bhmowbray924@gmail.com
