Responsible for conducting independent research under the supervision of Dr. John Van Stan using a combination of laboratory and field methods. Research projects broadly focus on ecohydrological models and interactions, with a particular emphasis on the partitioning of rainwater into separate pathways by tree canopies.Recently completed a research project examining changes in the surface tension of throughfall and stemflow samples relative to open rainfall from multiple storm events and tree species.

Responsible for assisting dormitory residents with acclimation to college life, organizing community events, enforcing dorm policies, and serving an on-call rotation. Position has a strong emphasis on community engagement and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities included grant research, creating GIS maps, assistance with public meetings, and administrative tasks.
