I have 20 years experience in the conservation sector in south-east Asia, developing, funding and executing projects that positively impact biodiversity. With a background in ecological research and natural resource management, I bring a credible and multi-disciplinary approach to strategy development for conservation and development harmonisation through real-world on-the-ground conservation solutions. Backed by extensive fundraising in the public and private sector I ensure strategy becomes reality through program development and securing finance in the right place at the right time. In my role as Country Director at FFI, I tripled annual budget and doubled the number of staff by accessing new financing streams from the Vietnamese private sector. At WWF-Vietnam I have grown the program from $4M to $15M annually, including early identification of opportunities in the plastics space and moving from unfunded vision to securing USD$12M in under two years. I successfully led the development of a USAID USD$38M grant for PA management and species conservation. I manage technical and fundraising staff through listening deeply, building trust, and giving responsibility while ensuring timely support and intervention.
