About Conservation Vietnam
Conservation Vietnam is a new Vietnamese Foundation established on 3 November 2021 based on the Decision No. 1155/QD-BNV by the Ministry of Home Affairs which has been developed because of the huge challenge the country faces in maintaining its unique biodiversity and the lack of financial and capacity support for local organisations to meet this challenge in the country.
Conservation Vietnam comprises an endowment fund, which functions as a grant making facility for the support of Vietnamese organisations engaged in conservation activities. It has been developed by the country's leading conservationists in partnership with major private sector investors in Vietnam; a partnership which is designed to scale to the size of the conservation challenges.

Our vision reflects the belief that real change will require all of society to shift its perception about our place in the world and recognise that only through working and living in harmony with nature will people be able to thrive into the future. Nature and people are interconnected and reliant on each other; what is good for the planet is good for its people. Conservation Vietnam has identified a space where we can have the most impact to realise this vision, which is to provide long-term funding for nature conservation to local civil society organisations so we can simultaneously protect and nurture our natural heritage and create a groundswell of empowered and skilled people who can take our vision into the future.
