I'm a Digital Product Designer with an interest in Emerging Technologies, Design Ethics, and, naturally, the intersection of the two.EDUCATIONI chose to study Design for Industry at Northumbria University due to the diverse range of skills and disciplines that can be practised while undertaking the course. Through this, I learned that User Experience Design was where I could do my most impactful work, and solve the problems that are most interesting to me. I achieved a 2:1 overall, with one of the highest grades in my cohort for my Dissertation.KEY SKILLSThrough my experience so far, as well as my degree, I have developed more general skills such as problem-solving through Design Thinking, interpersonal skills, and aesthetic sense, as well as very specific skills such as User Interface Prototyping in Figma and Adobe XD, User Journey Mapping and Flows, User Research techniques, and Front-end Web Development. I hope to continue applying these and building upon them to become a great UX Designer.EXPERIENCEMy experience at Full Blown, where I worked to design a price-on-request E-commerce website for a Luxury Furniture brand, has taught me a tremendous amount about all stages of the Digital Product Development process, as I completed the majority of this project myself. For instance, I learned to use Kanban to coordinate the timing of tasks to ensure that Product Strategy, Design, and Development all happened harmoniously while meeting the expectations of all stakeholders.ASPIRATIONSI am currently seeking opportunities in Digital Product Development, especially as a User Experience Designer. Through this, I hope to deliver elegant, user-centred solutions to challenging problems.
