I strive to conduct research that bridges the intersection between ecology, physiology, and anthropogenic environmental impacts on aquatic ecosystems. In 2021, I completed my BA in Biological Sciences and Environmental Studies at Dartmouth College, and I am currently a research associate in Duke University’s Biology Department (Patek Lab). While at Dartmouth, I conducted research on toxic metal circulation in estuarine ecosystems (Chen Lab), the carbon footprint of global small-scale fisheries, production of sustainable aquafeeds aimed to reduce phosphorus pollution (Kapuscinski Lab), marine plastic accumulation patterns in the Caribbean, and algal blooms in freshwater lakes. Currently, I am quantifying the impact that various climate scenarios have on the claw snapping kinematics of marine snapping shrimp.
