At Launchpad, a large venture studio that's part of Falmouth University, I was responsible for supporting and mentoring teams of entrepreneurs building new technology companies in the field of software product development.Over this time I worked with over 50 different entrepreneurial teams, regularly reviewing, challenging and encouraging them.My role also included building and managing the recruitment process for all of the 212 participants in the programme during my time there, with over 900 applications in total. Over this time I learned a lot about efficient and effective technical and non-technical recruitment.To support product development, I oversaw the outsourcing of many software development projects to contractors and agencies, and ensured that quality deliverables reached our teams for taking to market, as well as evaluating and promoting appropriate low-code and no-code solutions where appropriate,

With JFMS, I led Mojo Maritime's software development, which includes Mermaid, an innovative weather risk analysis tool for marine operations. I also developed a few smaller tools, such as a seabed cable lay planner with full 3D interface and cable physics simulation, and a web-based induction system for Galloper Wind Farm.

I led a software engineering group to work alongside the mechanical and electronics development that had been building steadily over a number of years. My role involved both line managing and technically leading the group, generating project proposals with the principal electronics and mechanical engineers.
