I currently have worked at two companies as an engineer. The first company was JumpMind, an IT consulting company specializing in designing points of sale. While working at JumpMind I primarily focused on creating advanced tests and API's to make sure that the applications had as few problems as possible before release. I personally worked on their application that was used for American Eagle, Petco, and others. We worked using an Agile working style and operated on two week sprints. The second company (the company I am currently working at) is Timken. At Timken I originally worked as a Systems Engineering co-op (Fall 2023), focusing my attention on creating and improving their own proprietary system (Syber+). This involved a mixture of adding new features that were desired and fixing any bugs or annoyances on the system. Similar to JumpMind, this team also used an Agile working style with two week sprints in place. As of May 2024, I have been working in the Research and Development department as a co-op at Timken. I am currently focused on improving the current use of machine vision in the company through the use of implementing a self supervised model to be able to learn and detect inaccuracies on new bearings coming off the various plant production lines.
