As the Head of Insights at SportBusiness, I am responsible for creating value for a diverse range of stakeholders across the sports landscape by using our unrivalled global network of industry contacts and our media rights and sponsorship databases, which contain over 100,000 deals from across the sector. My role is to use our data to develop insightful content such as insight articles, white paper reports and comprehensive industry reports on key issues affecting the global sports industry. These insights can range from specific media rights profiles on key territories or properties, to in-depth investigations on prominent industry topics such as Private Equity investment in sport, AI and betting data and streaming .I am also responsible for co-ordinating and delivery of bespoke client requests including: - Subject matter expert industry insights- Go-to-market strategy – Market reports and analysis- Benchmark studies- Bespoke data requests - Commercial due diligence – research support- Portfolio valuations Our clients include Tier 1 rightsholders, international broadcasters, global sports agencies, global management consultancies and financial institutions, amongst others.In 2020, I graduated from Sports Business Management MSc at the University of Liverpool with a Distinction, having received a “Future Leaders” scholarship. During this course I completed a 15,000 word dissertation on digital innovation within the football industry which focuses on innovative digital business models and content creation by professional football clubs, for which I received ‘Outstanding Dissertation of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year’ awards.Prior to continuing my studies, I initially worked as a self employed financial trader after graduating and subsequently co-founded a family investment fund called Mereview Associates. I achieved a first class honours undergraduate degree in International Business Studies with a year in industry, from the University of Liverpool. During this degree I completed a 13 month work placement at Princes Foods as a Marketing Executive in the soft drinks department. Additionally, during my second year, as part of the international exchange program, I studied Business Studies at Monash University Malaysia for 6 months.
