I worked out of our home office in Fort Wayne, IN as the Outside Sales Rep for American Wire Rope & Sling as well as American Steel, Engineered Products Division. I advise and sell all different lifting devices but specialize in cranes, custom fabricated cranes, spreader beams, chain, synthetic and wire rope slings. My territory is northern Indiana, southern MI & NW Ohio. My main objective is to help provide companies the most cost effectifve solutions to material handling problems while keeping safety as my overriding priority. I spent my first year in Indianapolis as both an American Steel and American Wire Rope & Sling sales rep to help smoothly transition the two companies in to one company with two divisions.

I was hired in as 2nd shift operations supervisor in the Customer Care & Aftersales warehouse in Flint, MI. I started in a smaller dept. in charge of 15 employees picking the large sheet metal parts for all GM made vehicles in North America. The area I was in charge of was approx. 800,000 sq. feet of warehouse. After 7 months I was moved to the largest department at the Flint facility which was spread out over 1.7 million sq ft.and 29 employees. I was in charge of the day to day operations of picking all different types of parts. Some jobs required teams of people that were to be rotated for ergonomical issues and it was my responsibility to keep the peace while following the guidelines of the UAW. Throughout my time at GM both my departments increased in productivity while decreased in safety write-ups.

I began working at a large event rental company out of Ann Arbor when I was 22 finishing up college. I enjoyed the idea of working outside, seeing immediate results of my work and the enjoyment it brought to the customers. In 2006-2007 I worked hard to begin my own company eventually known as Premiere Tents and Events, LLC. I started this company in Dewitt, MI and ran it out of my home where I bought a house with multiple acres and 2 barns to store my inventory. Within the 5 years of ownining the business I accumulated 17 All Purpose Canopies (20' x 20' - 20' x 40'); four-(4) large wedding style tents (30' x 60' - 40' x 100'); over 150 tables, 1,500 chairs, two seperate dance floors, lighting and other miscellaneous rental items. I successfully planned events of all types; weddings, graduations, reunions, tailgating events and more. I had multiple customers who relied on my services weeks in and weeks out including a bed and breakfast where we hosted the wedding ceremony and reception every weekend for 150 - 300 guests.

Was hired as the head swim coach in March of 2008. At the time the team had gone through 4 head coaches in the past 5 years. The team only had approx. 40 swimmers my first season. Every season we grew in numbers and more importantly practice attendance. In the winter of 2010 we qualified 24 swimmers and finished our state championship meet in 3rd place out of 26 teams also having numerous individual and relay champions. By the signup of the fall 2011 season we had over 90 kids signup for the swim team. One of the hardest things I have had to do was leave coaching as when I took the job at General Motors I was not able to give them the dedication they deserved. Being a coach is one of th e true joys of my life and hope to be able to do it someday again.
