My role entails:- Assisting with habitat management. Chalk Grassland management including two SSSI areas, the sites are cattle grazed, dominant thistles and ragwort removed and scrub kept to a minimum. Woodland and rides are managed carefully with selective thinning, appropriate planting and removal of pests and weeds. - Ensuring the properties set a good first impression and presentation standards are met is very important. I help make sure signage, fencing, gates, stiles, tree guards and the car park are all are in good condition and functioning well. Maintenance of tools, vehicles and buildings ensures they work well, are safe to use and resources are looked after.- Volunteer recommendation. I have worked with diverse groups of volunteers including work groups from local businesses, local conservation groups, therapists and clients from a charity called Thrive (specialists in horticultural therapy) and a group of regular volunteers. As a safe key holder, I predominately work in the cash office. My work involved balancing tills, dealing with petty cash claims and producing weekly financial reports to be sent to head office. The remainder of my time is spent working as a Customer Service Assistant, supervising checkouts, dealing with lost property and assisting customers, face to face or over the telephone.

Working as part of a small document development team, my role was to set direct mail documents ready to be printed. I used logic driven document composition software to produce high quality customised documents. It was very important that I worked quickly and accurately, a lot of our produce was time sensitive and legally important. Once documents were set up they had to be proof read and signed off ready for print, it was essential to be highly diligent at this point to avoid errors and potential fines.

I was taken on as a Data Entry Assistant while I studied for a NVQ in IT. During my time at Strategic Internet my role developed and my work became more varied. I catalogued domain names, managed web hosting, designed and built websites and created adverts.
