Marine biologist based in the West Indian Ocean region. Main areas of focus are coral reef monitoring and training, marine protected area management, as well as environmental education and outreach. Four years as project manager at first privately managed MPA in the world, a pioneering Blue Economy initiative. Responsible for developing, implementing and managing ecotourism, conservation and education activities and projects, which worked directly with all major stakeholders including government (directly reporting to Minister’s Principal Secretaries), local businesses, CBOs, CSOs, regional and international NGOs and the general public. MSc in International Marine Environmental Consultancy and a BSc in Marine and Freshwater Biology, from Newcastle University, UK and Aberystwyth University, UK respectively. Conducted consultancy work in Saudi Arabia, Seychelles and Philippines, volunteered in the UK, Seychelles and Cape Verde, worked in the USA.
