I lead the energy and carbon team at Lumen, working with a wide range of clients to help decarbonise their businesses and reduce costs. I am passionate about transitioning to a low carbon world and get a huge buzz out of seeing our clients succeed. I was very fortunate to stumble across energy and carbon management in my second year at university after becoming frustrated with my intended major of theoretical physics. I really enjoyed the practical aspects of energy and carbon management, and tackling the problem of climate change gave me a great sense of purpose. Since then I have worked with a wide range of clients from airports, universities, and defence bases through to meat processing plants, MDF production plants and mushroom growing facilities. It is always incredible to see behind the scenes in these commercial and industrial facilities while helping them achieve their energy reduction and decarbonisation goals.Lumen is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. We help our clients with everything from transmission and distribution lines engineering to the structural design of homes/commercial/industrial buildings to reducing energy use and decarbonisation. Lumen has been around in one guise or another since the mid-1990s. We've recently rebranded as Lumen to help our clients understand that we're one team with one focus - engineering for a better future.
