CurrentNetwork Management: Monitoring, configuring, and maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.Server Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers, including backups and patch management.System Monitoring: Monitoring performance and uptime of infrastructure components like servers, storage systems, and network devices to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues affecting infrastructure performance.Security Management: Implementing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools to safeguard systems and data.Backup and Recovery: Managing and monitoring backups, ensuring that disaster recovery processes are in place and tested regularly.Cloud Infrastructure Management: Supporting and maintaining cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure), including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.Capacity Planning: Analyzing current infrastructure resources and planning for future needs to prevent performance bottlenecks.Documentation: Maintaining up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and changes.Collaboration: Working closely with other IT departments, vendors, and stakeholders to support projects, system upgrades, and new technology rollouts.Automation and Scripting: Developing and implementing automation tools or scripts to streamline infrastructure tasks and reduce manual workloads.Compliance and Audits: Ensuring that infrastructure complies with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.User Support: Assisting internal teams with escalated technical issues related to infrastructure components.
