My role as Social Media Manager at Just Like Us involves generating social media content ideas, designing, editing and delivering content consistently whilst interacting with followers on social channels and trying to reach new audiences. The role involves working with talent and influencers- liaising, relationship building and interviewing are all things.

In my time as Social Media Executive at McCann, I worked on the Aldi UK social team and produced daily reactive content across all social channels, created a bi-monthly TikTok strategy and planned their upcoming videos, handled a variety of data-related tasks and completed copywriting for social posts.

As the social media manager for Mindless Mag, I was in charge of raising the brands online presence, scheduling and posting engaging content to their channels, creating custom graphics and interacting with followers. The role also involved reaching out to brands and organising collaborations and coming up with content/campaign ideas and implementing these.

Whilst being a freelance writer for The Indiependent, I had to generate relevant story ideas that would engage audiences and implement them with a quick turnaround.

In my time freelance writing for NE Volume, a North-East based print magazine and online publication, I frequently produced quick, readable short-form content. I had recurring contact with editors to decide content topics and deliver written content on tight deadlines.

I’m an ambassador for charity ‘Just Like Us’, and have been trained to deliver talks and workshops in secondary schools discussing LGBT+ issues, telling my own story and educating the children on homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. This has involved specialist training around the subject matter as well as public speaking training delivered by.

I took part in Mindless Academy' s Digital Micro-Internship programme during the month of March 2021. During this time, I learned how to master the art of storytelling and the science of SEO, creating four pieces of editorial content for Mindless Mag on Fashion + Stuff That Matters.
