GenealogistLaurie Thompson Consultants Jan 2016 - Apr 2017Greater New York City AreaI researched and documented large families in order to help settle estates in official court proceedings. My responsibilities included heavy research that was all backed up with documented proof (birth/death/marriage certificates, Last Will and Testaments, obituaries, estate files, etc). The research and documents would then be used to create a family tree and due diligence affidavit that would be submitted to whichever court the given estate was being settled in. These reports averaged 15-20+ pages and would often include 100+ documents. Extreme and meticulous attention to detail was of the utmost importance because one small mistake could mean the whole report would be rejected by the court.I completed the most due diligence affidavits (accurate and accepted by the court) in my first year than any other previous employee who held my position.

Artist AssistantJonathan Rosen (Artist) Sep 2013 - Mar 2014Greater New York City AreaAs an assistant for up-and-coming NYC gallery artist Jonathan Rosen, I worked directly with the artist to create gallery ready pieces. The pieces I assisted in making were large scale collages on oversized canvases using a wide variety of materials. These materials ranged from hundreds of precisely cut photos to thousands of fortune cookie fortunes to years and years worth of collected concert tickets. One piece was covered entirely in tiny rhinestones. I worked closely and directly with the artist himself, took direction and would often be left to complete large tasks on my own. After a few months of helping to complete all of the pieces for his first gallery show in December of 2013, I was contracted a second time by Jonathan Rosen to help complete more pieces of the same style for a second gallery show that happened later in 2014.
