The size and complexity of the TfL group meant that there were a number of technical accounting issues that needed to be resolved as part of the IFRS transition project. I was required to prepare technical accounting papers on a number of areas including business combinations, capitalisation of borrowing costs, investment properties, leases, deferred tax, related party transactions, assets held for sale and private finance initiative agreements.
