Highways England A47 – Project ManagerTaylor Woodrow is providing buildability and cost advice to Highways England to support the development of options for their proposed works for the £300m A47 Corridor Improvement Programme in East Anglia.I have been involved in six schemes along the route to successfully pass stage gate 1 review by the Highways Investment Board which will greatly assist Highways England in deciding the preferred route leading to a public announcement in mid-2017.

Tottenham Court Road Station Upgrade – Project ManagerThe project consists of the design and construction of an enlarged underground station, with new ticket hall and new staff accommodation – including electrical and mechanical services, additional escalators, lifts, stairs and passageways, new station entrances, step-free access throughout the station. The project also includes construction of the Crossrail eastern ticket Hall (structure only) and new urban realm works, public utilities and highways diversions.I was responsible for managing and leading the project team for the delivery of the £45m station fit out within a challenging programme. I successfully maintained high levels of HSEQ conformity, and client satisfaction was further enhanced by my customer relationship building.

Bexhill To Hastings Link Road

• Responsible for Drainage (pump station, attenuation and main line), Vehicle restraint, Traffic signals, Traffic management, Fencing (acoustic, boundary, accommodation, reptile), traffic signs, street lighting and badger tunnels. Managing a team of 3 engineers, reporting directly to the PM/Agent.• Contract values: Drainage: £1.3m - Vehicle restraint: £0.65m - Traffic signals: £0.2m - Fencing: £1.1m - Traffic management: £100k –Traffic signs: £40k - Street lighting: £150k

M25 Section 2 J5 - J7 Managed Motorways

• Completion of 16Km of central reserve drainage. Contract values: £1m Civils works & £0.3m Inspections.• Responsible for the coordination and planning of all drainage works on the project. Managing engineers and all engineering aspects of the works. Ensuring company Health, safety, Environment and welfare procedures are met. Commercially responsible for drainage forecasts, budgets, Subcontract application reviews & negotiations. Design value Engineering and RFI management. Lean Daily Management of subcontractors. Management of QA. Stock management and daily KPI progress reporting.• Project lead for V.O.I.C.E (Views of Operatives In the Construction Environment) A behavioural based safety initiative to promote the HSW&E views of operatives.

M25 Section 4 Road Widening J27 To J30

• I Successfully completed Installation of several km’s of various drainage pipe, 350m of 2.1m Diameter attenuation pipes, Hydrodynamic separators, petrol interceptors, 1.5km sheet piling at several locations and of various applications, several Km’s of HA boundary fencing and 2Km of Central reserve Earthworks.• I was Responsible for all engineering aspects of the works within my authority including; Health, safety, Environment and welfare, Coordination with other disciplines, planning works, Design clashes, piling platform construction & associated temporary works briefs, Logistics, Traffic Management, Permit control, QA, setting out, • Managed and supervised different teams of Engineers to support the project requirements. Ensuring Flow of Information between Engineers and managers and timely completion of setting out. • Managed up to 8 sub-contract gangs at different locations within the works. Coordinating available areas with other disciplines. Ensuring Engineers have completed setting out. Reporting progress to my Manager.

A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel Refurbishment

• I successfully completed several packages including; Passive fire protection circa £2.5m, Tunnel Concrete repairs circa £0.5m and Substations Civil works circa £0.25m.• Other Duties included: Labour, plant & materials reconciliations. Additional works-variations. Review and write RAMS. Departure applications to the HA. Temporary works briefs. Lift plans. Complex setting out and coaching site engineers on the techniques used. Issuing permits applicable to the work. Visitor inductions. Site tours. Monitoring, recording and reporting progress of sub-contractors.• Coordinating the set up and completion of the QA packages for the civil works for sign off of the construction certificates and Permit To Use (PTU).

London Underground Bcv & Ssl Upgrades

• Project Manager for the track drainage yearly Inspections and assessments packages. Contract values: £800K CCTV and £300K Catchpit inspections.• Project Manager of an Asset Cataloguing project. • Produced track drainage assessment reports.
