Worked to provide a safe swimming environment for the members and their families that attended the pool. Worked both as a lifeguard as well as in the pool shack, the area for sign-in and concessions. Other duties included testing the pool chemicals and cleaning the pool area. Lifeguards are also responsible to handle the money and to close out the register at the end of the day.

Taught basic swimming and water safety skills to children with abilities ranging from beginner swimmer to advanced competition level. Each lesson group would consist of 3 to 6 children depending on the age of the group being taught, younger groups were typically smaller. Lessons sessions would be in four week periods in the spring and fall.
