My time in Parker was working as an odd mix as a Level 1/2/3 Tech Support, ranging from low level first line contact that range up to higher level networking or server maintenance related issues. Due to the relatively small team size (the core IT tech support team anyway) for looking after both AU & NZ branches, I have had quite the variety of scenarios and issues thrown my way.I was first line contact for when someone rings the IT department and was the main person managing the ticket queue, which always kept me on my toes.My time at Parker was fairly fruitful as it has exposed me even more than my internship back in the RBA, helping me further consolidate my wide skill set, though it did result me being more of a jack of all trades, master of none.

I've worked in a multitude of IT departments in the RBA which has built a nice foundation of knowledge in regards to the IT Industry.At the Service Desk, dealing with the brunt of problems that people face with their Hardware in the bank, be it Software Requests, Access Requests(Active Directory), Video Conferencing, Printer Issues, Application Issues and more.For Network Services, I have done a wide range of tasks which is mostly related to floor switches and workstation patching. This includes configuring and purchasing Cisco Switches, installing them into the appropriate floor and also patching them to relevant ports.While working in the System Services team, I was mainly engaged in utilizing VMware to create, manage and configure virtual machines ranging from Windows 2008, 2012 R2 and IIS Web Servers. I've also had experience in clustering servers such as SQL nodes.In my time in IT Operations, I dealt with utilizing Spectrum for server monitoring, this includes configuring SNMP traps on servers to allow Spectrum to grab the data it needs and setting up new machines/VMs to be monitored.My last team that I worked at is the Security team, where my role was to manage password requests for important accounts via TPAM, help manage our ticket queue to balance out the load and make sure the appropriate tasks go to the appropriate people/teams, and also participating in exercises like FedEx day and some Security CTFs.
