I was in an operations intern role from May 22nd to August 11th at an eCommerce site in southeast Columbus, OH. During my time there I was responsible for supervising associates in the photo processing and returns departments of the site. I gained valuable experience coaching and training associates on how to properly follow standard operating procedures and work instructions. The on-site project I completed over the summer entailed redesigning and implementing 5s methodology into the processing areas of the two departments I supervised. Another aspect of my internship that provided me with valuable experience was attending The Capstone Event at the end of July. While there I presented my Capstone Project with my team of fellow interns from other DHL sites in the region. My team and I collaborated on improving dock congestion, safety risk, and associate moral of another site in Ohio. We presented our findings and recommended tested solutions in front of a room of 25+ business leaders within the company. This experience gave me a great opportunity to showcase my ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a impactful solution.

I was in a warehouse and inventory manager position until January of 2021 at EBB. I handled organizing and maintaining warehouse and freezer storage, as well as preparing and building pallets for shipping. Part of my role was also communicating with the production manager to ensure we were well stocked and ordered necessary materials. I scheduled labeling and packaging as well as managed five employees on a daily basis. Lastly a main responsibility of mine was assisting in production and ensuring proper procedures were being followed in the kitchen.
