An immersive, hands on course in web development in which we were taught skills across the whole stack using a number of different programming languages and approaches. The course focused largely on JavaScript but Ruby, CSS and HTML5 were also covered throughout. WDI-Project-1: Salvy McMeme Face. A simple one player game in which the player must rearrange the shuffled tiles on the board to complete the picture. The data for the restaurants was obtained from the Zomato API. This app was built Using Node.js, Express, MongoDB, JavaScript/jQuery, SCSS, HTML5, Gulp, Bower and NPM. In groups of four we were required to build a MEAN stack RESTful app. One of the focal points of this project was the ability to use GitHub effectively for collaboration an version control. The app offers a forum for users to exchange skills and expertise.This app was built Using MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, SCSS and HTML5, Gulp, Bower and NPM. It is an authenticated RESTful app which uses a dictionary API to let the user look up and store information on language they find interesting. Mountview is a tertiary education establishment training both technical and performance students to pursue a career in theatre. My job was to work with the technical students and deliver the sound focused side of the curriculum. Mountview produces 25 to 30 shows annually. I took on technical and creative roles within these productions such as sound designer and production engineer, always working as part of a team made up of freelancers, permanent staff and students.

The Gulbenkian was a medium sized theatre which put on a wide variety of productions including live music, dance and contemporary and traditional theatre. My duties would range from setting up and mixing bands to creating and installing lighting designs. There was a very high turnover of shows, mostly a different show every day, which required working to tight deadlines and communicating with many different internal and external staff effectively.
