As a PR Consultant I worked closely with my clients on their media communications needs by helping to ensure that the campaigns rolled out were creative, memorable, effective and dynamic. I worked to enhance client's reputation, credibility and market presence. I was also happy to work with clients to effectively communicate key message points to appropriate media. I have also been requested to write and distribute media invitations, press releases and advisories. I am proud to count among my happy and satisfied clients the National Library Board, Media Development Authority, National Environment Agency, Management Development Institute of Singapore, Maxwell Chambers Pte Ltd, Dyslexia Association of Singapore and others.

As Executive Director of AFA, I had several duties and functions. I was responsible for managing its fiscal integrity and well-being. This included banking in of donations, issuing tax exempt receipts, reviewing and approving budgetary needs for various projects and liaising with the Treasurer and auditors. Managing and securing sponsorship for major public events such as the Singapore AIDS Candlelight Memorial, Singapore AIDS Conference and World AIDS Day Commemorative Events were also part of my portfolio. Managing media relations was another key role of my position. I helped organise and chair several press conference and media interviews ensuring that the media carried constructive and balanced coverage of Action for AIDS, its patients, volunteers and of our collaborative work with external agencies and organisations Volunteers play a key role in AFA, as such management and ensuring they receive optimum training and access to information is crucial. Apart from training, I also liaised with the various project coordinators and scheduled counselors for AFA's telephone hotline. Other duties included hosting and chairing event based media conferences: giving press and media interviews and managing the medication subsidy process.
