Executed campaigns to highlight global inequality seen by hundreds of millions of people during the World Economic Forum. Built partnerships with public figures and allied organizations to grow Oxfam’s reach and influence.

Oversaw Oxfam America’s media and communications work on climate change and food policy. Crafted and edited communications materials such as ad-copy, video scripts, talking points, speeches, blog posts, press releases, email actions and op-eds. Led Oxfam’s global media team at the UN Climate Change Conferences in Cancun (2010), Durban (2011) and Lima (2014), overseeing three media staff and earning thousands of media hits in the US, Latin America.and globally. Secured coverage of Oxfam’s work in thousands national and local of news outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR and many more. Managed Oxfam’s Behind the Brands campaign to leverage consumer activism to change how major food and beverage brands do business in poor countries. Participated in negotiations with top food and beverage companies to secure major commitments to slash emissions and invest in climate action.

Served as public affairs and strategic communications consultant for non-profit and mission focused organizations such as the 350.org, Transportation for America, Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Environmental Defense Fund. Led account teams to plan and implement creative national and international advocacy and communications campaigns. Successfully pitched stories to major national and international media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Associated Press, CNN and The Washington Post. Authored email and communications campaigns for clients to inspire advocacy and action on public policy issues.

Served as a media representative for Barack Obama’s Campaign for Change in Minnesota. Traveled the state with high level surrogates including Governors, Senators, and members of Congress organizing campaign events on behalf of then-candidate Obama. Assisted with national surrogate media program during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. Authored and edited communications materials including press releases, op-eds, talking points, letters to the editor, blog posts, and speeches as the primary writer for the Minnesota campaign.

Oversaw volunteer operations to two counties in Missouri. Recruited and managed a team of over 200 phone bank and canvass volunteers. Led Election Day GOTV for Boone County, home of University of Missouri.
