Whistler Porphyry Au-Cu Deposit, Sw Alaska

During my MSc I conducted research-based work for Kiska Metal Corporation based out of their Whiskey Bravo air-supported camp in the Alaskan Range, SW Alaska. This fieldwork was seasonal over this time period.Duties included, but were not limited to; core logging for lithology, alteration, mineralisation and structures; interacting with drillers, producing cross-sections and models with new drill information, assistance with drill-hole planning, mapping and groundtruthing lithology and alteration, assisting with IT and radio support, and assistance in maintaining a winterized camp.

Hunter Valley Operations, Nsw

My vacation work at RTCA Hunter Valley Operations involved being strongly integrated with the mine planning department.I had short-to-medium term responsibility for all mine geology tasks including coal scheduling, acting as an intermediary between miners and plant operators, and designing a job description for future mine geologists on-site.
