Over the last 10 years I have spoken at great many conferences and meetings ranging from 2500 people to groups of 5. Most of my work has been with corporate groups but I am also fortunate to get invited to speak at a number of schools. About 20% of the conferences I speak at are outside the UK and I am used to working with multi-national groups and with simultaneous translation.I am often asked to speak about the question ‘Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?’ – the killer question and mind-set that enabled the Men’s Rowing 8+ to win an Olympic Gold medal in 2000. My presentation is a simple story about how a group of individuals came together to form a team. A team which had to undergo a huge amount of change in order to form a very strong culture that enabled them to constantly challenge and learn, deal with setbacks quickly and work together despite significant differences.

The second World Rowing Cup of 2013 was held from 21st to 23rd June at Eton Dorney - it provided a great opportunity for fans to cheer on some of the world's finest rowers at one of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games' most iconic venues.
