As an Actuarial Associate I, I was responsible for reviewing Affordable Care Act rate filings, including individual/small group annual, small group quarterly updates, and student health filings. In addition to reviewing Affordable Care Act filings, I calculated indicated rate increases on distressed blocks of Long Term Care business.While working in this role, I also automated processes and internal checks to reduce errors and facilitate the consistent application of regulations across insurers.
