I finished secondary school 4 years ago, in which I came out with 8 GCSEs all of which were in the grade range of 6 - 8, top marks. I then went on to study my A-levels at my school, Hall park academy's, sixth form for 2 years, Upon finishing them, I acheived AAB in business, geography and computer science. This is where I discovered my love for business, and I cancelled my place at Loughborough university to study geography for a last minute change to Nottingham Trent University, to study accounting and finance, which is currently where I am in my first year. I also am currently working part time at IKEA as a Operations Fulfilment Co-worker alongside my degree to gain some life skills and work experience.As well as work/ education experience, I have also got a lot of hobbies, one of the biggest is scouting. This has given me many opportunities in the 12 years I have been a part of organisation, from learning life skills, to getting qualifications like first aid and also more recently being able to complete the gold Duke of Edinburgh award in canoes, which was very hard work but was very rewarding.I have also been a section assistant leader for the Cub scouts for 6 years, a role which has taught ,me so many skills and is very rewarding.As of this point, I feel that I have been able to do much more than most other people my age, and possess skills that a lot of people have never been able to gain, something that I am extremely grateful for, but very proud of as the amount of hard work I have put in so far is major.My short term objectives are to:- Complete my Accounting and finance degree to a very good level, achieving a first if possible.- Continue with my job gaining work experience- Complete training through scouts for Shooting, Terrain 1 walking and white water canoeing/Kayaking just to name a few to enrich my knowledge and skills, as well as being able to run these activities for the members of Scouts.- Get out walking and camping more as for the past year I have had other commitments.- Participate in as many extra-curricular activities as I can at University.Then, I hope to achieve my long term mission to get into a business related career after finishing my degree, be it in accountancy, management, marketing or any other aspect, this is what I really hope to achieve.
