Growing up with Legos and K'Nex, I've always had a passion for building and creating new projects. Some of the more challenging builds were designing cars that could withstand a trip down the stars or cranes that could pick up the heaviest loads with out breaking. As I grew older I began working on vehicles and enjoyed the change of diagnosing and finding unique solutions to fixing the problem at hand before school started the next day.When I started pursuing my degree in Mechanical Engineering I was then able to use the knowledge obtained from my course curriculum to further develop more complex projects. Courses such as Statics, Mechanism Analyses, and Machine Design gave me the knowledge to analyze my projects to predict potential problems and to reduce cost. While other courses such as Chemistry, Instrumentation, and Material Science gave me insight on how and why materials and sensors preform. Making use of this knowledge I was able to develop a functioning hydrogen cell to improve gas mileage and a turbo charged Honda 4-Cylinder capable of handling up to 25 psi of boost with parts from different makes and models of vehicles. Now as a recent graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering focused on design my passion for building and designing continues to grown. I am presently looking for a comply that will provide many challenges in which i can further develop my skills as a Designer. I am proficient in SolidWorks and also continuously developing my skills in MATLAB and Arduino programming. I have gained real world experience in implementing new processes and diagnosing system failures while interning at US Tarp. I have also gained product development experience while partnering with Excellence in Rehabilitation for senior design by redesigning the lifting and tilting mechanism of there Multiple Applications Therapeutic Table or MAT Table. This partnership has also continued past graduation and has developed into a part time Design Engineer position within the company for further development of the MAT Table.
