About Benjamin Strong

In my current role as Vice Chair at the Arctic Council, my focus revolves around leading the charge for Arctic emergency preparedness and response. I leverage my expertise to enhance the safety and security of the Arctic region. My tenure includes leading the Search and Rescue Expert Group, where collaboration and strategic communication are key for success.My dedication is directed towards strengthening international partnerships and emergency protocols, particularly for isolated communities. This commitment stems from my extensive involvement with the Arctic Council, where I've cultivated a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced in Arctic emergency management. Working with our partners from the eight Arctic States, Permanent Participants and Observers, I've facilitated advancements in the cooperative capabilities across the Arctic.
