January-March 2018As an ASU Intern I performed research at College Depot in Central Phoenix, 7th avenue & Buckeye Rd (The temporary location for the Burton Barr Library, while under renovation). Under the mentorship of College Depot' Director Judy Reno, I researched Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the United States. I also researched Apprenticeship programs and created a Public Service Announcement for College Depot in reference to CTE & Apprenticeships. Burton Barr Library is under renovation. This internship was facilitated through Experience Matters, Sandra Freyer was my contact.I worked as a Safety Coordinator for the safe delivery and display of inventory on the showroom floor in Mesa, Arizona. I audited displays of heavy counter tops, sinks and other potentially dangerous household items that could hurt the public if displayed carelessly. As a ReEngagement Advisor, I helped students learn about the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). I counseled High School drop-outs about Career Online High School (COHS) and the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) programs that are available for potential students. I started my Intel career at Fab-7 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico as a Manufacturing Technician for Thin Films. I became a Manufacturing Trainer for several years and ended my career as a Preventive Maintenance Technician. Team Leader, Sergeant- I began my Army carrer at Ft. Benning in Georgia. I served two years in Baumholder Germany and one year in Ft.Carson, Colorado. I trained soldiers in all areas of small arms use and preventive maintenance of the mechanized Infantry vehicles we used. I was the Captains Track Commander in the field and the Maintenance Supervisor in Garrison. I wrote performance appraisals, counseled soldiers on their performance and was a designated contact for soldiers that were being terminated from the Army. I usually counseled them and helped them transition out of the service as easily and without drama as was possible.DD-214 upon request
