• Managed remote-access VPN and site to site VPN (including internal, cloud, and external partners).• Designed and implemented the front-end network for our data center to Azure migration project (VMWare to AVS).• Selected, designed, and deployed Aruba (Silver Peak) SD-WAN in our data centers, cloud environments, and major offices.• Migrated network hardware and applications to use TACACS via Cisco ISE, integrated with the company’s Active Directory Domain.• Standardized wireless networks and converted to 802.1x using Microsoft NPS and Cisco ISE.• Integrated numerous company acquisitions into the corporate network, including establishing connectivity (MPLS or IPSEC), resolving address conflicts, and onboarding users to the VPN and MFA systems.• Created and implemented a plan for rapid universal deployment of MFA tokens and VPN access to allow for remote work when offices were closed for Covid-19.• Introduced and maintained Netbox installation for IPAM and DCIM.

• Responsible for design and maintenance of international networks spanning three countries and five data centers, comprising some 70+ routers and 1200+ switches.• Helped to develop several systems in our network to combat denial-of-service attacks involving our hosting customers.• Primarily responsible for the implementation of hosting networks at our second US data center in support of geo-redundancy for our shared hosting product.• Helped to assess, design, and implement a renovation of our hosting network routers in order to mitigate risk with soon to be end-of-life equipment and to provide adequate port density in a cost-conscious manner.

• Installed and maintained Sprint developed applications across 70+ systems (Solaris, HP-UX, Linux) in 10 separate environments for testing and training, incorporating a wide variety of vendor software.• Coordinated the build out and maintenance of test and training environments to support the corporate release schedule and the requirements of the test and training schedules.• Coordinated the resolution of complex integration problems between a variety of internal and external systems and suppliers.• Supported test efforts in our environments on a 24/7 basis.

• Served as technical lead for the system administration team in Sprint's Integrated Services Lab. I managed our technical direction, coordinated patches and upgrades with development and production, mentored colleagues, and managed our 24/7 on-call rotation schedule. • Managed 150+ Sun (running Solaris 2.6 & 8) and HP (running HP-UX 11.0 and 11.11) servers across 5 separate lab environments, many in high availability clusters using MC/ServiceGuard, Sun Cluster, and Veritas Cluster Server.• Installed, configured and helped to troubleshoot Sprint developed applications through 5 separate lab environments.• Supported test efforts in our environments on a 24/7 basis.• Designed, wrote, and maintained a web-based application using Perl, Apache, and MySQL for event logging, process improvement metrics, general information storage, and tracking of current builds of Sprint software in each of the labs.

• Managed ~70 workstations and servers, including Sun (running Solaris 2.6), DEC (running Digital UNIX 4.0D/E), and SGI (running IRIX 6.3,6.4, and 6.5.x) machines.• Maintained the NIS and DNS domains for the project’s heterogeneous UNIX network.

• Responsible for the management of ~150 SGI workstations across 6 student labs and 4 SGI fileservers in a NFS/NIS environment supporting ~1200 users.• Developed and maintained a number of scripts in Perl and Bourne Shell, including development of a program in Perl for parallel execution of tasks throughout the various SGI labs using data in our NIS system.• Compiled and installed a variety of software both for student use (e.g., gcc) and to support the College of Engineering’s needs (e.g., Apache, ht://Dig).• Assisted students and faculty with their computing needs (account creation, technical assistance, file restoration, etc).
