I oversaw a $60 thousand annual budget for the Pomona Student Union. Responsibilities included ensuring payment for speakers and guests, overseeing funding for events, budget planning, and approving any and all transactions involving PSU funds.

I have hosted speakers and helped plan many student events. Most notably, I organized and moderated an event on the impact of COVID-19 on K-12 education where I led a panel discussion with Dr. Kyndra Middleton, Dr. David Menefee-Libey, and Dr. Andrew McEachin.

Assigned to the Trial Division working on felony criminal cases for indigent defendants. Worked with a partner and Staff Investigator to discover and digest information on behalf of assigned attorneys. Typical investigative tasks include:• locating and interviewing witnesses• interviewing clients• taking detailed witness statements• performing extensive criminal background checks• serving subpoenas• testifying• photographing, measuring and diagramming crime scenes• preparing courtroom exhibits• writing reports regarding investigative activities• assisting with case development• generally assisting the assigned attorney(s) in and out of the courtroom.

I produced educational materials to train secondary school students + teachers in debate and public speaking skills. I participated in public debates for educational purposes.

I designed and led workshops for middle and high school aged students in Strategies of Argumentation, Professional Communication, Public Speaking, Rebuttal, and Debate Structure. I judged and provided feedback on speeches and debates between students.
