The Grille is situated inside The Broadmoor Golf Club meeting the standards of the most discerning clientele. My position entails meeting and greeting guests at the front of the restaurant & bar and taking them to their seats. Responsibilities include remembering and addressing every single guest by their first and/or last name throughout the guest journey. I am also responsible for reservations of small and large-sized parties in the restaurant.

Working behind the bar at Jervois Steakhouse in Queenstown, as well as working on the pass as a food porter in the main restaurant. The role entails learning a lot about different cocktail recipes, especially house signature cocktails and many different twists on classic cocktails. Meanwhile learning about the operations of a true high-end steakhouse, serving many of New Zealand and the world's best cuts of meat.

I was hired personally by Jo Finnagan, after showing great presentation skills to the Accor Hotels QRC Scholarship panel in October 2019. 1 month later, the General Manager of Hotel St Moritz extended an offer to work in Lombardi restaurant as a casual Food & Beverage Attendant. I was so excited and grabbed this opportunity with both hands! Now having worked here through both pre and post-COVID lockdowns, I've witnessed juristic change in the way Hotel St Moritz runs as a hotel. Although with a much smaller team network than before, I've witnessed the team coming together to help each other out during these tough pandemic times.

I remember walking into Sofitel Queenstown for the first time in my life and instantly being wowed and greeted so genuinely, it left such a lasting impression on me.
