Early in my life, I moved myself to Bogotá, Colombia, originally for sport. After arriving, it became evident that I was going to stay a while. Some years later, I moved from the capital to Medellin, the second largest city. All of this experience in a foreign country culminated in the founding of the language school Empire Language Courses. Language is something unique to humans and it is something that connects us. It represents our culture, beliefs, feelings, and values. Helping people advance their language skills in Latin America and beyond is something valuable and worth-while. Latin America is an untapped pool of talent, and they are hungry to enter the market and to start competing. ELC helps them do this. From my experience as an English professor with another South American school based in Argentina, to living in South America myself for a number of years, I know what people are looking for with language in business and how to teach them.
