I'm a Technical Lead with decades of Java and Typescript experience with a number of professional highlights including working at a leading global online marketplace, having previously worked at a world renowned mobile games publisher and an innovative financial startup.My work has won workplace awards for cost saving, and in corporate hackathons won "most innovative" and "best idea". My commercial experience has spanned all grades of enterprise server software, ranging from simple web apps, to distributed systems, to serverless.Outside of work I have produced award winning open source software that has been published and reviewed in computer magazines. I continue to publish retro and modern software on my Github account such as a Gameboy image codec library, a well received image and video(!) converter for the ZX Spectrum, and software for the Raspberry Pi and ESP32 based devices. I also have interests in machine learning, 3D printing and electronics in general.
