My Goals in Relation to Three of the Most Important Connections:Customers: Have an insatiable thirst and a relentless drive to understand end customers, their needs and even needs they aren't aware of. Our customers will vote on us with their dollars if we help them to create value via our products. In the end we both win in the race to create sustainable economic value.Team Members: My team is the most important asset to creating value for our customers, their families and their lives are why they work. If they are happy, fulfilled, rewarded, and challenged we together will have a competitive advantage in creating long-term sustainable value.Our Planet: I am grateful for this incredible home we call Earth, and I am more convinced than ever that long-term sustainable value is intrinsically connected to finding ways to create value while acting in ways that are responsible such as reducing our environmental footprint, eliminating waste, enhancing animal welfare, and increasing diversity in our value chains that span the globe. A Little More about Me:I love life and living. I have now spent many years working for and with some of the greatest organizations on earth. I have worked in warehousing, procurement, supply chain, operations, general management, and consulting with a focus the last 10 years in agriculture. I’ve worked for Fortune 50 company’s and non-profit organizations, collaborated with small holder farmers in Kenya, government leaders in Ethiopia, businesses in India and China, manufacturers in Mexico, and worked in and with people from all around the globe. I have consulted with and worked with top executives to the most entry level positions, and every one of those interactions has been with a human, a brother, a sister, a father, a mother, a friend who has aspirations to be happy, to be successful, and to make a difference in the world, an individual who has their own set of fears, and inadequacies. I have learned that the greatest joy comes as we work together, integrating our different backgrounds to come up with solutions that focus on our customers, each other as team members, and our planet. Possibly my greatest opportunity has been to be the father of six incredible kids, and the husband of a woman who lives life to the fullest, a woman whose procurement expertise, conflict resolution skills, strategic planning, leadership, and the list goes on.....rivals that of best executives in the world. She has led in an ultimate role as mother, counselor, care-taker, and the true corner office chief executive.
