Dually certified in family medicine and internal medicine, I have been practicing as a general internist for over 25 years (MD CM, CCFP, FRCPC, FACP). I have gained broad clinical experiences in diverse settings and roles (e.g., in academia and in private practice; in urban and rural settings; and in emergency departments, inpatient wards, intensive care units, ambulatory clinics, and rehabilitation centres). I am a clinician educator, internal medicine examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Adjunct Associate Professor at Queen's University, recipient of a Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association of Medical Education, and a past President of the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine.My current interests include interprofessional collaboration, medical regulation, and health leadership. I am an embedded specialist consultant in primary care settings, a medical advisor at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and a student in the International Masters for Health Leadership program at McGill University.
